What started as a challenge turned into a desire.
I have a friend that walked away from a good paying job to pursue his dream. That dream has grown, not only for himself but for the many lives he touches everyday. It was this friend that challenged me to do something simple. It has sparked my dream.
This coffee is so good, chief will wash his cup.
My friend and I were talking and out of the blue he turns and says, “Tommy, (not many people are allowed to call me Tommy) I’ve been praying for you.” As you can imagine, this was a little bit of a shock. He continued, “You’re 50 years old and have no idea what you want to do. I want you to go home and pray, not just pray but, shut up and listen. Then pray again.”
That night as I lay in bed I couldn’t help but pray for guidance and be given a spark, a purpose. I did this several nights. I would lay there and do my best to keep my mind silent.
I usually watch YouTube diy videos to relax in the evening. One night, I started looking up how to roast coffee. It piqued my interest and I thought, why not try it. I bought my first roaster and started roasting. It turns out my roasts were pretty good.
I realized, the answer to my question was coffee.
The name Crossed Anchors Coffee comes from my time in the US Navy. I proudly wore my crossed anchors. This coffee is so good, chief will wash his cup.
